Hi!
My name is Tristan and my pronouns are he/him. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington. I am a sex and body positive, LGBTQI+ affirming, kink-friendly therapist who works with adults, 18 and over, around varying topics such as gender, sexuality, HIV/AIDS & STIs, safer sex, self-esteem, self-acceptance, family, Asian (Filipino) identity, polyamorous/alternative relationship structures, harm-reduction, depression and anxiety.
I am an affirming and inquisitive therapist, and I believe through self-reflection and self-examination we can reach a more joyous, peaceful, and healthier life. I also prefer a person-centered approach, so we go at your speed, and what makes you comfortable. Sometimes I will push you a little more, but within limits.
My clients feel that I am interested in truly understanding their experience, gaining insight, and supporting them in figuring out their next steps. Taking care of your mental health can be hard, and my role is to assist you the best way I can.
